Meet the Team
Editor in Chief
Katelyn Yang is a boarding student from Singapore and a member of the St. Mark’s class of 2024. As Editor-in-chief, she looks forward to the Parkman Post becoming the community’s platform for expressing our individual and collective voices on world issues that matter most. Kate also hopes to pursue her passions, from leading the tennis varsity team to exploring the worlds of STEM, arts, and design and working with at-risk children.
Jackie Huang (she/her) is a current Junior from Beijing, China. As a Pisces, her brain is constantly filled with imaginative thoughts, feelings, and emotions; she likes to write about them spontaneously. She also enjoys good food, good people, and good conversations. Her interests include writing, singing, sports, and all kinds of community-based projects. As an extroverted-introvert, you can either find her out socializing or in her room surfing the internet alone (on the same day).
Gina Yang is a V form boarding student at St. Mark’s. South Korea. In her free time, she likes to read, write, and draw. This year, she hopes to work on further developing her own voice by incorporating her unique opinion into the article.
Emma Lu is a V form boarding student from California. She likes drawing, keeping her growing collection of succulents alive, and playing piano in her free time. She’s especially interested in the sciences and math and how that intertwines with design and art. Having lived in both Toronto and Beijing for an even amount of time, she has plenty of thoughts to share on both her interests and the intersections within her own identities here on the Parkman Post.
Roy Baeck is V form student at St. Mark’s School from Newton Massachusetts. Some of his hobbies are watching sports leagues and listening to music. He finds economics and world news most interesting. Through Parkman Post, he looks forward to sharing unique news and opinions to others.
Daniel Guo is currently a junior from Northborough, Massachusetts that goes to St Marks School. His hobbies consist of sports that include soccer, hockey and tennis as well as a variety of other things such as reading, guitar, and fixing the lawn. He also enjoys the company of his tiny white poodle dog, “dodo” very much.
Anouk Shin is a boarding student at St. Mark’s. Graduating in the class of 2026, Anouk enjoys playing her violin, drawing, and building Gundams. Her favorite book is Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky. She aspires to major in the liberal arts and one day become a lawyer.
Currently a sophomore and 15 years old, Vanessa Leung plays the piano and likes to sketch in her free time. She also loves traveling, hiking, and would very much like a dog.
Hannah Macron is a third form boarding student from New York. She hopes to further her passions at St. Marks, ranging from varsity ice hockey and crew to both STEM and visual arts. She hopes to use the Parkman Post as a way to spread awareness about subjects in the world through her writing.
Yejee Hwang is a sophomore from South Korea. She enjoys following US elections and can be slightly obsessed with polls. She also runs a secular affinity group and likes theater, music, and astronomy. Yejee is looking forward to sharing her views on worldly issues through The Parkman Post.
Ivy Song is a III form boarding student from Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She is looking forward to exploring her interest and writing about her perspectives on Global events in The Parkman Post. In addition, Ivy wishes to continue her passion for visual art, ballet and helping those who are in need.
Coco Xia is a V former boarding student from Shanghai, China. I’m her free time, Coco loves birdwatching and taking photos of nature. She also enjoys writing and reading, and one of her favorite books so far is George Orwell’s 1984. Coco is happy to share her opinions through her writing in the Parkman Post.
Sunoo Jeong is a V form boarding student at St. Mark’s from South Korea. He loves spending time with his friends and family, and playing sports. At St. Mark’s, Sunoo is a tour guide and a member of the St. Marks JV soccer team as a defender. Academically, he finds math and science the most intriguing. Through Parkman Post, Sunoo is looking forward to share his interests through his own perspectives.
Steven Zhang is 16 years old and loves milk. He would trade a couple of his friends for a good trip to Iceland.
Justin Lu is a IV form student from at St. Mark’s from Concord, Massachusetts. He enjoys eating and sleeping and he likes his friends. He likes to spend time outside and he needs caffeine to finish his homework. Justin also likes to travel.
Lori Cui is a boarding Chinese-American student from Lexington, Massachusetts, and Hong Kong in the class of 2025. She loves to keep up with music and politics and is also a feminist and a climate activist.
Ariel Cheng is a sophomore attending St. Mark’s School from Taipei, Taiwan. She loves llamas, Google Scholar, programming, Jung’s theory of cognitive functions, the AI Alignment problem and 3Blue1Brown (not in that order). She is looking forward to sharing her opinions and thoughts on current events through the Parkman Post.
Annabel Zaterka is a III former from Southborough, Massachusetts. She plays field hockey, basketball, and softball.
Jolin Yu is a 15-year-old from Vancouver, Canada. She plays tennis and enjoys music. Her goal for the year is to stay hydrated.
Carey Huang is a IV form student at St. Marks. He enjoys anime and long walks on the beach. Carey uses his free time to explore the mysteries of the world.
There are three things you need to know about Emma Schillinger. First, she loves playing tennis and basketball. Balancing being a student athlete has been hard for her, but she has the persistence to excel at both parts. Two, reading is an escape for her. Emma likes to imagine that she’s inside the story, going along with the plot; living the lives of the characters. Three, one day she will be president. This may seem like a long shot, but she’s determined to change the world for the better.
Rachel Ding is a III form boarding student from Boxborough, Massachusetts. While she enjoys dancing and playing the oboe, there is nothing she appreciates more than a good book on a rainy day with the company of her two cats. Through this platform, she hopes to discover and develop her voice as not only an author but as a person.
Jamie Li is a IV former at St. Mark’s. She is from Chengdu, China, and she loves all the food there. Jamie likes food, traveling, listening to music, and reading random articles. She looks forward to working with wonderful people in The Parkman Post and sharing her ideas through this platform.
Cathy Shi is a Vth form boarding student from Sudbury, Massachusetts. They enjoy playing sports, art, and (some) academic subjects. They strongly recommend everyone to sleep for eight hours because they sure haven’t.
Joshua Chung is an IV former from Seoul, South Korea. Nothing gets him more pumped up than a humorous weekend at St. Mark’s! He loves St. Mark’s so much that “‘I love St. Mark’s School’ is my favorite quote” is his favorite phrase. Joshua loves soccer, squash, and music.
Jeff Wang is a III form boarding student from Shanghai, China. He has a passion for STEM and technology. He plays tennis, basketball, chess and CS:GO. Furthermore, he aspires to become a better writer and share his ideas with the world through the Parkman Post.
Laura Xia is a sophomore from Shenzhen, China. In her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and appreciating cute dog pics on the internet. She also loves good food and traveling, and although she loves 3Blue1Brown videos, she does spend more time on YouTube watching chefs cook food.
