Meet the Team
Editor in Chief
Katelyn Yang is a boarding student from Singapore and a member of the St. Mark’s class of 2024. As Editor-in-chief, she looks forward to the Parkman Post becoming the community’s platform for expressing our individual and collective voices on world issues that matter most. Kate also hopes to pursue her passions, from leading the tennis varsity team to exploring the worlds of STEM, arts, and design and working with at-risk children.
Emma is a IV form boarding student from California. She likes drawing, keeping her growing collection of succulents alive, and playing piano in her free time. She’s especially interested in the sciences and math and how that intertwines with design and art. Having lived in both Toronto and Beijing for an even amount of time, she has plenty of thoughts to share on both her interests and the intersections within her own identities here on the Parkman Post.
Diane Kwon is a IV form boarder at St. Mark’s School from Atlanta, Georgia. She loves playing her viola, traveling to different cities, performing, literature, and hates sports and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Her favorite class at St. Mark’s is Roman Philosophy, and she is passionate about humanities. Diane is an avid romance novel reader and Harry Potter fan 🙂 She’s excited to learn and connect through the Parkman Post!
Coco Xia is a VI former boarding student from Shanghai, China. I’m her free time, Coco loves birdwatching and taking photos of nature. She also enjoys writing and reading, and one of her favorite books so far is George Orwell’s 1984. Coco is happy to share her opinions through her writing in the Parkman Post.
Karry is a freshman at St. Mark’s School from South Korea. She has spent most of her life in Seoul before coming to St. Mark’s as a third former. Karry is passionate about science and aspires to be a surgeon. In her free time, Karry loves traveling, playing her cello, and listening to music. Through the Parkman Post, Karry wishes to share her unique perspectives with the world.
Sunoo Jeong is a IV form boarding student at St. Mark’s from South Korea. He loves spending time with his friends and family, and playing sports. At St. Mark’s, Sunoo is a tour guide and the Asian American representative in the ASA. Academically, he finds math and science the most intriguing. Through Parkman Post, Sunoo is looking forward to share his interests through his own perspectives.
Roy Baeck is a IV form student at St. Mark’s School from Newton, Massachusetts. He loves playing baseball and follows many different sports leagues around the world. He likes to listen to music and enjoys traveling around the world. Through Parkman Post, he looks forward to sharing unique ideas that people would find interesting.
Daniel Guo is currently a sophomore from Northborough, Massachusetts that goes to St Marks School. His hobbies consist of sports that include soccer, hockey and tennis as well as a variety of other things such as reading, guitar, and fixing the lawn. He also enjoys the company of his tiny white poodle dog, “dodo” very much.
Arthur Gao is a Vth form student from Shanghai, China. He enjoys reading Latin American history and literature, listening to electronic music, and pretending to be a detective. He is interested in sharing political and social news about Latin America and Europe on Parkman Post.
Samantha Mundel is a freshmen boarding student from Newton, Massachusetts. She enjoys reading, watching television, taking photos, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves playing field hockey, and will be rowing on the crew team this upcoming spring. Samantha is excited to write about topics she enjoys, like politics and international issues, while writing for the Parkman Post.
Izzy is a third form boarding student from Newton Massachusetts. In her free time, she loves exploring the world and skiing with her family. She also loves running in cross country, and learning about world issues. She hopes that through the Parkman Post, she can write freely about what she thinks and believes in.
